I sincerely hope that you have found us before you have accumulated a box of holsters that are useless. We all have them, and the industry as a whole seems to be a whole lot better at selling than designing and manufacturing. First we buy the foam version which is cheap and fat and then the universal version that seems like a really good idea at the time until we discover that it is universally poor. The novelty holsters sold by the carnies at the gun shows usually come next. These are really intriguing if it weren't for the contortions necessary to execute a draw and the fact that they are painful and inaccessible when sitting, but one size fits all and so we go for it. Finally we start to dole out serious money for quality leather after which we have to go on a diet to make room for the extra girth and about the time that they are finally broken in, they become loose and worn out and your loaded handgun rolls across the floor of the diner when you try to get out of the booth.
We spent many hours trying to fix; these problems with existing holsters by trimming, sewing, riveting and modifying. In the end it was similar to adding a motor to a roller skate, we still had a roller skate. Finally we decided that we could do it much better starting from scratch.
My name is Joe Piazza, owner of Viper Holsters LLC.
We design and build custom holsters for concealment, service, sport and recreation.
We employ the latest materials including Kydex and hybrid combinations. All of our holsters rely on the endless life cycle of Kydex for reliable, continuous retention with minimal weight, bulk and girth and we guarantee our products to be free of material defects for the life of the owner.
Our designs are unique and they evolved directly from experience, experimentation, testing and trial by fire.
You should be asking how I am qualified to have an professional opinion on the equipment, on which you may stake your life?
I have been an avid handgun aficionado from the age of 18, when I moved out of NJ to the land of firearms freedom. I was the Founder and President of Atlas Security, Certified in Disaster Avoidance/ Recovery Planning specializing in key executive safety. I began competing in NRA bullseye while in college. While starting Atlas Security I met a guy named Les Baer who was also starting a business as a custom pistolsmith. At the time he needed an alarm system and I wanted one of his hyper-accurate 1911s. Through my friendship with Les I was introduced to IPSC, IDPA and IHMSA and through the police departments I also shot PPC. I was certified to carry firearms professionally under Act 265, privately taught practical Pistolcraft and I am an avid reloader and ballistician. I have done extensive hunting with handguns as well as long guns, recurves, compounds, inlines and flintlocks and have commissioned more than a few custom pieces. I currently review firearms for various web retailers and am on the advisory board of a reloading information publisher.
I have experimented extensively with wildcat long range custom pistols going back to the Herrets through the SSK and Super Bower calibers. Those handgun calibers set the bar for distance and power, capable of killing anything that walks this planet and accurate at many hundreds of yards. I have always been on the cutting edge of firearms development, interfacing directly with equipment manufacturers, most recently with the development of smokeless powder in-lines. Quite simply, I have worn out more guns and holsters than most people will ever own.
I tell you this only because firearms have been a big part of my life, passion and job since the age of 18 and I am more than a few decades away from that mark. I understand the mental preparation, discipline, attitude, practice, equipment and materials related to living with the responsibility of firearms possession and expertise in vocation and sport.
We, are a team of picky, anal, demanding professionals and enthusiasts that brainstorm, test, critique, evaluate and determine how Viper appropriately meets your needs and designs solutions that are effective and comfortable. If it is not the most comfortable holster you have, you will not carry your firearm as much and this is unacceptable. No one can predict when they might be the target of predators, or in life threatening circumstances, given the time in which we live.
Our mission is simple; to build the most comfortable, secure and effective equipment possible. We rethink, redesign and carry, carry, carry until we are totally satisfied with each concept and model. We can easily demonstrate and articulate the superiority of our equipment over all the others, but in truth, if you try on a Viper, no words will be necessary. If you don't like your Viper Holster we would gladly refund your money and take it back. We are problem solvers and we will make whatever you want, if that want is different than what we have.
I hope this gives you insight into our company. We will enjoy hearing about you and your holster needs.
Please look over our designs and by all means call or email to discuss your needs. We enjoy personal contact and and this business of personal security is one that must be uniquely tailored to you.
Viper is a custom shop and will accommodate any request we feel is possible and safe. This includes vehicular, ATV, UTV, Marine and SMGs.
Viper will purchase any blue gun that is available, in order to fullfill an order, at no cost to the customer.
For those handguns for which a Blue Gun does not exist, Viper can construct a holster using the customer's handgun if it can be made available. On orders of this nature Viper guarantees a 72 hour turnaround unless there are extenuating circumstances, complications or extreme custom work that require more time. Viper also has access to gun shops that may have your model gun. If we can find your model in a local shop this provides an alternative to transporting or shipping your handgun to our shop.
